It is the market leader in the Netherlands for employment screening
Working since 2009 with a team of 35 employees, Validata serves some of the largest corporates globally. From Michael Page to ING, Ordina, and equens Wordline Validata has not only expanded market segments but also seized new market opportunities in different countries. From its headquarters in Amsterdam and new location this year in Stockholm, Validata checks international data having nurtured a network of global data suppliers. Validata has also worked to ensure the best end-user experience by offering integrations with global HR and recruitment software providers. For a relatively small company, the supplier network, client portfolio, and innovative software developments show the hard work that has been put into building the business. It has seen Validata achieve 13% growth during the pandemic and an 11% EBIDTA margin, averaging 16.3% growth on turnover over the last three years.
Its leadership is guided by its people. The company has a flat hierarchy making its operations and its growth direction transparent. Sharing this joint vision, working, and innovating together has built a strong internal culture that has directed the success they enjoy today. “It is our nurtured culture but also our focus on the long-term benefits for all stakeholders (clients, employees, partners) that have directed success”, they say.
Validata Group has organically expanded sectors, countries, and services by looking and listening to the market. It is not just a focus on product scalability but its client’s evolving needs. Helping its clients closely and understanding their challenges was key.
They have digitally disrupted their clients’ hiring and onboarding processes. Its SaaS solution uniquely connects with data partners from around the world, allowing them to verify candidate data quickly and more efficiently. Validata’s cloud-based technology does this whilst ensuring candidate data is completely protected and the process is GDPR compliant. Due to their digital integrations, their clients benefit from a fully optimised screening process and can effectively manage risk no matter their company size, type of business, or country location. Validata’s solution allows clients to conveniently check screening status and reports using personal profiles which can be tailored to the company’s specific needs. Moreover, candidates can complete their screening using any device: mobile, tablet, and by the end of this year use facial recognition to complete identity checks with 100% accuracy. This means that not only their clients but also their employees benefit from a digitally augmented process.
This year, Validata opened its first location in Stockholm, serving the Nordics. The company also plans to enter the German and French market in 2022. Moreover, the scope of sectors serviced will grow from financial, healthcare, and business sectors to greater focus on logistics, government & education, and retail. Horizontal growth in-employment screening in addition to pre-employment is also a focus.
