The Eternal City became the European epicentre of technological innovation last Tuesday, 25 November, with the celebration of the 6th edition of the European Technology Awards 2025, organised by El Suplemento and the Professional and Business Excellence Institute. For the first time in its history, these awards (previously held in European capitals such as Paris or Budapest) arrived in Rome, the cradle of Western civilisation, to host a technological event that seeks to look to the future and drive the development of science and technology across the old continent.
The organisation chose the emblematic The Westin Excelsior Hotel, in the heart of the city’s historic and cultural district, as the perfect setting for the celebration of these awards. Located on the historic Via Veneto, one of Rome’s most famous avenues, the hotel combines classical elegance with contemporary luxury. Its halls, featuring refined architectural details and impeccable acoustics, create an atmosphere of solemnity and distinction, ideal for ceremonies, conferences and high-level professional gatherings. This privileged location offers European Technology Awards attendees not only comfort and exclusivity, but also the opportunity to experience the essence of Rome, where history, art and modernity converge.
The evening began with an elegant welcome cocktail, where guests had the chance to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. Accompanied by the voice of Galician artist Lou 7 Go, attendees took the opportunity to exchange impressions and build synergies. In addition, everyone passed through the photocall, which captured the best moments prior to the gala. There was a palpable sense of anticipation and enthusiasm in the air, in an edition that evoked the promising future of European technology.
The gala opened with the inaugural address by the Director of the Awards, Antonio Queijeiro, who highlighted the growth of the sector, the importance of innovation as a driver of progress, and the need to recognise the talent powering Europe’s digital transformation. “Europe is much more than a continent: it is a way of looking at life, of creating, of sharing. Here, excellence is neither cold nor distant: it has history, education and elegance. From anywhere in the world, when people think of history, they think of Europe. Our challenge is for the same to happen when technology is discussed, and to achieve that we must spare no effort,” reflected Queijeiro. His words gave way to a ceremony hosted by presenters Sonia Fernández and Andrés López, who, with great dynamism, set the pace for the awards presentation.
In total, nine awards were presented to leading companies that stand out at a European level. In the CRM category, Fideltour was recognised for offering a CRM platform that optimises comprehensive customer management and enhances operational efficiency within the sector. In the Design and Manufacturing category, the British firm Falcon Tenderes Limited stood out for excellence in the design and manufacture of high-performance vessels using cutting-edge engineering. In the Smart Data category, the award went to YieldHub, for transforming complex data into actionable information that drives strategic decision-making through advanced analytics. In the Audiovisual Technology category, the prize was awarded to the Spanish company Lightsound Group, for innovating with state-of-the-art audiovisual solutions that enhance quality and the multimedia experience. In the cutting-edge field of Artificial Intelligence, the award went to Romanian company Ascentcore, for developing AI solutions that accelerate innovation by delivering real value to business processes. In the Biotechnology sector, the award was presented to Pharma Hermetic, for its leadership in hair biotechnology and its ability to drive scientific advances applied to hair care and regeneration. Dotsquares took home the trophy in the App Development category, for its ability to create robust and scalable applications that combine functionality, design and user experience. In the field of Sustainability in Information Technologies, the Italian firm Whiteready Benefit Corp. was recognised for integrating sustainable practices into solutions that reduce environmental impact and promote a responsible future. The global firm DXC Technology, which currently records revenues of 13 million dollars, was awarded as Internal Transformation Partner for its support of organisations through technology, consultancy and comprehensive digital modernisation.
Each award recipient had the opportunity to present their projects during the gala and express their gratitude in a brief acceptance speech. In their remarks, all emphasised the fundamental role of their teams, collaborators and families on the road to excellence. Words of gratitude and emotion followed one another as the winners shared their journeys towards success. What resonated most strongly was a sense of shared pride: these awards not only elevate individual careers, but also celebrate the collective contribution to strengthening the European technological landscape.
After receiving their awards, winners were guided to the press set installed by the organisation, where they shared their first impressions in interviews that will be available on the El Suplemento website and its YouTube channel.
Following the awards presentation, which celebrated the excellence and creativity of outstanding companies and professionals, the Managing Director of the Professional and Business Excellence Institute, Pablo Suñer, took the floor to officially close the event. His speech underlined the organisation’s commitment to promoting quality, innovation and leadership within Europe’s business and technological ecosystem. He also highlighted the importance of teamwork and family support networks as essential elements on the path to success: “success is never the result of a single algorithm or one brilliant mind. These awards are dedicated to the ecosystem that sustains them: all the family members, friends, colleagues and teams who have supported them throughout their journey,” Suñer emphasised.
As is customary at such events, the organisation placed music at the heart of the evening. On this occasion, artist Lou 7 Go captivated the audience with a vibrant performance, full of nuance and a distinctive personal style. The Italian singer Nunzia Giannotta brought the awards ceremony to a close, transmitting her energy to the audience, who ended up singing along to popular Italian songs known around the world.
Designer Félix Ramiro, a collaborator on this edition, added a touch of distinction by dressing the awards’ leadership team in exclusive tuxedos created especially for the occasion. Antonio Queijeiro and Pablo Suñer wore a total look by the designer from Toledo, reinforcing the image of excellence that characterises the event.
The evening concluded with a gala dinner in pure Italian style, where award recipients and guests raised a toast to the success of this edition and to future initiatives that will continue to drive technology forward from the heart of Europe.
During dessert, both singers, Lou 7 Go and Nunzia Giannotta, returned to the stage to deliver a finale worthy of remembrance. Attendees celebrated the night’s achievements, while the most enthusiastic guests took to the dance floor alongside the artists.
The European Technology Awards 2025 thus once again consolidate their position as an international benchmark, having chosen Rome on this occasion as the perfect setting to celebrate creativity, talent and the ideas shaping the future.
Each technology company, every entrepreneur and every awarded professional reflects a collective effort committed to quality, innovation and sustainability, with a firm belief that the future is technological.
At the close of this 6th Edition, the organisation highlighted the resounding success of the event, stressing that it was not only a night of recognition for the award recipients, but also a reaffirmation of Europe’s strong commitment to technological leadership. This collective commitment aims to significantly improve people’s quality of life through advances in science and technology. In this way, the celebration not only honoured individual achievements, but also underlined the need for continued collective effort to drive innovation and progress throughout Europe.
