Celebrating Legal Excellence in Europe

The European Legal Awards marked its fourth edition at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, bringing together lawyers, legal experts, and professionals from across Europe

The doors of the Ritz opened on the chilly night of November 28 to welcome awardees and guests to the fourth edition of the European Legal Awards. Lawyers, legal experts, and professionals from all over Europe gathered at the iconic Parisian hotel on the renowned Place Vendôme, which, adorned with Christmas lights, provided the perfect setting for a night of celebration.

The Event

Organized by the Professional and Business Excellence Institute, the ceremony remained committed to recognizing the exceptional work of legal professionals at the European level while fostering networking and the exchange of ideas in a festive environment.

Le Salon d'Eté at the Hotel Ritz, with access to the lush garden of the iconic establishment, became the epicenter of the event. The organization welcomed attendees with a lively cocktail reception. The photo booth captured the elegance of awardees and guests, immortalizing the beginning of a memorable night.

After the cocktail, attendees were guided to the Vendôme room, where the award ceremony and subsequent gala dinner would take place.

The evening opened with the captivating musical performance by the talented Aixa Romay, who masterfully interpreted the song 'Unchained Melody.' Following this, the gala hosts, Raquel Castro and Andrés López, introduced the Awards Director, Antonio Queijeiro, who delivered an opening speech thanking everyone for their attendance and highlighting their contributions to the legal field in recent years. "Today, we celebrate not only individual achievements but also the spirit of collaboration and the ongoing pursuit of justice. These awards are a tribute to those who have made a significant difference and have exceptionally contributed to the advancement of jurisprudence and the defense of fundamental legal principles," said the director.

The Awardees The organization presented a total of 17 statuettes to outstanding legal professionals. The awardees of the night included Sky Law Law Firm in Real Estate Law; Olivia O’Kane in Media and Entertainment Law; Vilarrubí Abogados in Commercial Law; Garret Farrelly in Energy Law; Celestino García Carreño in Consumer Law; Barbara Mutsaers in Food Law; Preico Jurídicos in Second Chance Law; Andras Gurovits in Sports Law; Roberta Victoria Nucci in Insurance Law; Caselex in Legaltech; Martín Herreros Abogados in International Law; Crypto Legal in Blockchain; Gabinete Empresarial Vergara in Corporate Law; Maud Boukhris in Competition Law; Arnaut Fiscal & Legal in Tax Law; Jason McCue in Human Rights Law, and Ricardo Álvarez-Ossorio in Criminal Law.

Eight talented Spanish professionals stood out among the awardees, showcasing the legal excellence of their country. During their speeches, the awardees praised their teams, colleagues, and collaborators, acknowledging the importance of the support they received. The diversity of represented countries reflected the international nature of the event, with awardees from France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Switzerland.

The gala unfolded in two parts, with a short break and a musical performance in between. The opening of the second act featured the Italian singer Nunzia Giannotta, performing the song 'Il Mondo.'

To conclude the award presentation, the hosts invited Pablo Suñer, the manager of the Professional and Business Excellence Institute, to the stage for the closing speech. In his words, Suñer stated that "each awardee tonight has not only demonstrated exceptional legal expertise but has also defended the principles of justice, fairness, and integrity that form the foundation of our legal system." He encouraged the awardees to share the success of the night with their family and friends.

The night concluded with another musical performance, this time with a duet by both artists, Aixa Romay and Nunzia Giannotta, dedicating Tina Turner's 'The Best' to all the awardees of the night.

After the awards ceremony, guests enjoyed an exquisite gala dinner in the Vendôme Room of the Ritz Hotel, featuring an appetizer, a main course, and two desserts. A sweet ending that was also complemented by performances from Aixa Romay and Nunzia Giannotta.

A Gala Event

The event had the collaboration of the Valencian stylist Tomás Salcedo from Tommy Estilistas and the designs of the talented Almerian designer Sergi Regal, who dressed both the gala host, Raquel Castro - adorned in a navy blue sequined halter-neck dress - and the event coordinator, Pilar Rodríguez, who wore an elegant red dress. As for the decoration, contributions from interior designer Carmen Rodríguez added a touch of glamour to the night.
