The Ritz Hotel Paris held the second edition of the European Technology Awards, an event that brought together 24 companies, start-ups and professionals that stand out for their excellence and expertise in the technological sector

In December Paris shines more than ever. Thousands of Christmas lights iluminate the so-called City of Light, which can be seen even from space. Parisian streets are lit with understated, yet elegant white and amber light bulbs, decorated with trees and garlands, reaching their finest expression in the historic Place Vendôme.

Award-winners and guests took a few minutes to contemplate the Christmas lights at the entrance of the Ritz Hotel, before moving on to the welcome cocktail, where the Awards’ management team made the pertinent presentations, inviting attendees to interact creating a proactive networking.

After the cocktail party, the attendees took the official photo at the photocall, before going down to the Vendôme salon, one of the most emblematic of the popular hotel.

The mezzo-soprano Catalina Rodríguez and the soprano Vanessa Cera appeared on stage to open the gala with a musical performance. Then the hosts of the event, Raquel Castro and Andrés López, called Awards’ directo, Antonio Queijeiro, to the stage.

The director pointed out the importance of technological innovation, especially nowadays. In addition, the director wanted to end his speech by thanking all the medical sector, Security Forces and professionals who worked daily and tirelessly during the hard months of the pandemic. To all of them he dedicated the “Nessun Dorma”, from the opera Turandot, performed by the tenor Jorge Puerta.

"This award would not be possible without our team, our 'qaleonians', that's what we call ourselves," said María José Alonso, CEO of Qaleon. "It is a pride to collect this award, which recognizes the work of all my colleagues, even those who are no longer with us, but were key at the beginning", recalled Jose Joaquín Cid, manager of SAS24.
