Prof. Dua Sigh Harminder
Professor Harminder Dua Singh is chair and professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Nottinghan, London, as well as consultant ophthalmologist, NUH, NHS Trust Head of Service, Nottingham University Hospitals, NHS Trust Honory Professor of Universita della Svizzera, Lugano, Switzerland.
Prof. Dua is a specialist in surgical and medical treatments of cataract, refractive errors, cornea and ocular surface diseases. He has extensive experience and knowledge of a variety of eye conditions including dry eyes, keratonconus, cataracts, conjunctivitis and ulcers. As an Ophthalmologist, Prof. Dua is a Global Leader who has made many notable and innovative contributions in his medical field.
Patience, compassion and understanding is at the core of Prof. Dua’s care. He takes time listening to the needs and concerns of his patients and offers clear communication in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Marathi. Above all else, Prof. Dua’s medical and surgical treatments are second to none.
After completing basic medical qualifications, Prof. Dua trained as a specialist in eye diseases (Ophthalmology) in India, England, Scotland and USA. He then undertook advanced Cornea and External Eye Disease training as a Fellow, at the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia.
Prof. Dua has over 40 years’ experience in the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases. He has served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Professor of Ophthalmology, Nottingham, since 1994. He specialises in the treatment of simple to complex cases of eye diseases affecting the front half of the eye.
