A contemporary practice combining international heritage, technological innovation and environmental sensitivity
Susanna Scarabicchi and Andrea Peschiera
Founded in 2015 by architect Susanna Scarabicchi, former partner of the renowned Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), and architect Andrea Peschiera, Project Leader at the same firm, Tectoo has forged its own identity built on more than three decades of accumulated experience.
The firm defines its work according to principles that seek to combine creativity, technical rigor and social awareness. Its philosophy is rooted in the belief that the best architectural projects arise from a collaborative approach, involving experts from multiple disciplines, and from a close relationship with clients in order to align expectations and objectives.
The practice advocates for “integrated” architecture: from the earliest sketches and models to the use of advanced technologies such as Building Information Modelling, computational design, without neglecting traditional techniques.
Susanna Scarabicchi, trained at the University of Genoa, was for many years a cornerstone of RPBW, contributing to projects such as the Lingotto in Turin, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, masterplans in Genoa and Athens, as well as the MUSE Natural Sciences Museum and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Her international experience is extensive, and her leadership at Tectoo ensures continuity from the initial concept through to project completion.
Andrea Peschiera, originally from Mantua, completed his studies in Milan. His career took him to Shanghai, for major master planning across the country, London, developing key projects in UK and the Middle East, and within RPBW in Genoa, leading international projects in USA and Australia, before co-founding Tectoo. He directs the design teams and embodies the connection between international innovation and local requirements.
Tectoo has delivered both public and private projects that reflect its commitment to urban regeneration, environmental sustainability and spatial quality. Among its most recent works: VP22 The Hidden Woods, a 14,000 m² LEED Certified office building in the heart of Milan; the transformation of the heritage building, ANGST emphasizing his past splendor while adapting to contemporary needs, the new Porto Carlo Riva a key reference for Italian nautical excellence; and the Linate Airport District with the “ChorusLife” concept, an ambitious urban regeneration plan aimed at improving urban quality of life.
The practice represents a contemporary model that brings together international experience, technological innovation, sensitivity to urban and environmental contexts, and the intention to place design at the service of collective needs.
Its multidisciplinary team ensures that every phase of a project maintains consistency in quality, aesthetic identity and technical feasibility.
