Sailing into a new era of sustainable luxury
Archipelago Expedition Yachts is redefining the concept of adventure yachting with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and innovative design. Founded by Dr Stephen Weatherley, a lifelong sailor and engineer, the company was born from the desire to offer more: more adventure, more space, more exciting design, more sustainability, and greater accessibility for those who have traditionally been excluded from the conventional yachting market.
Every Archipelago yacht is constructed from recycled aluminium, a material that not only provides greater durability and strength but also has a lower environmental impact compared to traditional fibreglass. Furthermore, all models are designed from the outset as hybrid catamarans, combining diesel-electric propulsion for quiet and efficient boating.
The range includes models from 40-feet to 80-feet, each tailored to different needs and budgets. From the practical A-40 to the expansive A-80, which can carry a commercial helicopter, Archipelago offers a vessel for every type of adventure.
Archipelago believes in close collaboration with its clients. Each yacht includes bespoke naval architecture hours to meet the owner’s specific requirements. Clients are also invited to visit the construction process, actively participating in the creation of their ideal vessel.
Sustainability is a priority for Archipelago. In addition to using recyclable aluminium, the yachts are equipped with systems to collect rainwater and solar panels to support autonomous life at sea. The company is also committed to making boating more accessible for people with reduced mobility, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the experience of adventure without barriers.
The company has invested significantly in innovation within the maritime sector, and are currently developing their methanol-fuelled zero-emission vessels. They have committed to producing only zero-emission vessels by 2040.
Archipelago Expedition Yachts offers a boating experience that combines luxury, sustainability, and accessibility, allowing adventurers to explore the oceans with both responsibility and style.
