Taking care of psychical disorders from an inclusive perspective

The Instituto Psiquiátrico Ipsias is a psychological and psychiatric centre located in Madrid, with more than 20 years of career. It was born from the necessity experienced by several professionals of providing an accessible and effective mental healthcare.
From its beginnings, Ipsias has prioritised the inclusion of people the financial resources to fully and regularly access private medicine, who can’t afford to pay high charges. By offering adapted tariffs, adjusted to the possibilities of each person, a wide-open schedule and online services, they make sure everyone can afford to take care of their mental health issues.
Their professional team is composed by experts of several disciplines and therapeutical schools, providing a coordinated and personalised focus in the treatment of each patient. This methodological diversity helps identifying mental disorders and analysing the best remedies to them, noting that each individual has a unique personality and the possible underlying conditions that could be facing. Recently, its group has grown with the incorporation of Neurology a Physiotherapy, for the practice of Neuromodulation techniques.
This centre is specialised in a wide range of mental disorders, including the diagnose and treatment of anxiety, phobias, depression, addictions, obsessions, psychosis, and many other. This year its services has grown with a program for ADHD, Autism spectrum and other neurodiverse conditions. For doing so, Ipsias’ professionals have developed an integral care model, offering services that go from cognitive-behavioural therapy to approaches such as gestalt therapy, EMDR, polyvagal techniques, among other, including recently neuromodulation.
Apart of treating existing problems, Ipsias has a special interest in preventing mental health issues, and improving the life quality of people by organising and hosting workshops and talks that try to reduce the stigma associated to psychical disorders. These activities also provide tools to improve the self-esteem and the social abilities, while also providing other activities such as meditation, yoga and mindfulness.
The Instituto Psiquiátrico Ipsias has evolved through years under the medical direction of Doctor Ana Isabel Sanz García, Psychiatrist with large experience. She is an expert in treating affective disorders, anxiety, and psychosis, with expertise in helping both adults, teenagers and children. She is also an senior forensic psychiatry, an active member of the scientific community by publishing several books a frequent appearances in press.
