European excellence and talent meet in the Eternal City

The 5th edition of The European Awards brings together in Rome professionals, entrepreneurs and long-standing companies in a gala filled with music, style and professional recognition

The Westin Excelsior Hotel in Rome hosted on 27 November the 5th edition of The European Awards 2025, marking the first time that these awards have been held in the Italian capital. The previous editions, held in other major European cities such as Paris or Budapest, set a precedent for these awards, organised by El Suplemento and the Professional and Business Excellence Institute with the aim of bringing together professionals and companies from different sectors across Europe to recognise their dedication and work, and to invite them to establish new international connections and explore future collaborations. A task that, according to the organisation itself, is essential in an increasingly interconnected world in which it is necessary to emphasise the democratic, plural and entrepreneurial values that define our continent and its companies.

Under the autumn sky of the Italian capital, the organisers of The European Awards found in Via Veneto a setting that seemed tailor-made for the occasion: elegant, luminous and steeped in history. There, on one of the city’s most iconic and elegant avenues, The Westin Excelsior Hotel became the epicentre of a night of celebration and recognition of European talent. The hotel is a symbol of classic European luxury. Its majestic architecture, coffered ceilings and spacious lounges bathed in natural light evoke the grandeur of eternal Rome, creating a perfect contrast with the avant-garde spirit of the contemporary era.

As guests began to arrive, the hotel was transformed into a meeting point where businesspeople, entrepreneurs, researchers and professionals from the most varied fields shared expectations and a festive atmosphere.

An evening for celebration and networking

The event brought together prominent professionals and personalities from the business, legal, medical and social spheres across Europe in a gala that combined elegance, entertainment, celebration and recognition of talent.

The day began with a welcome cocktail, held in one of the main lounges of the Westin Excelsior and enlivened by Galician singer Lou 7 Go, where attendees enjoyed an exclusive and relaxed atmosphere, followed by a photocall that captured the most glamorous moments of the night. Guests posed with their companions and, after passing through the photocall, the Awards management took charge of introducing the evening’s award winners, who exchanged initial impressions while enjoying a varied cocktail.

Elegance reigned in the room. The Awards management team, composed of Antonio Queijeiro and Pablo Suñer, wore a total look by Toledo designer Félix Ramiro, a collaborator in the event.

Award ceremony and shared impressions

The gala, held in English as the working language, was presented by Sonia Fernández and Andrés López. The awards ceremony officially began with the opening speech by the director of the awards, Antonio Queijeiro, who highlighted the symbolic power that Europe holds in the global imagination: “a continent associated with history, great journeys, romance, gastronomy and fashion; a constant presence in world culture”. But he warned that, despite that consolidated prestige, a challenge still persists: “the challenge lies in achieving equivalent recognition in the business arena”. “To achieve this —he noted— education, commitment, investment and security will be indispensable, supported by clear and effective policies capable of inspiring a new generation of innovators”.

During the ceremony, the organisation presented a total of 15 awards recognising companies from various European countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Turkey. The Spanish firm FisiomSalud was recognised for its excellence in Training within the healthcare sector, while the Italian company Property in Sicily received the award in the Real Estate Services category for its closeness and transparency. In Construction, Baunova stood out for its innovation, and Cedesa was recognised for providing efficient and secure parcel solutions. British company Maison Mawu excelled in Financial Services thanks to its comprehensive management, and Spanish dental clinic Herrera y Cores was awarded in Dentistry for its human and cutting-edge approach and the recent opening of a new centre. The talent of Archipelago Expedition Yachts in the design and manufacture of vessels was also acknowledged during the gala, as was the commitment of Acció Preventiva in Occupational Risk Prevention. In architecture, Milan-based Tectoo Architects shone for its innovative vision; while Nutrición Científica Barcelona was recognised in Health and Wellbeing for its new science-based approach to nutritional health. Turkish company Dentakay Dental Clinic received the award in the Dental Clinic category for its excellence in care. Likewise, Madrid-based Clínicas DRB stood out in Hair Surgery, while English company Willowbrook Foods was recognised for food quality. Spanish company Gysen Plus SA won the award in the Energy category for its sustainable approach. Finally, The Parioli English School S.R.L. was honoured for its strong professional track record in English teaching.

Upon taking to the stage, each award winner had the opportunity to showcase their value propositions through a short video, after which they proceeded to the lectern to deliver a speech of thanks. In their speeches, all the awardees emphasised the fundamental role of their teams, collaborators and families on the path to excellence.

After leaving the stage, the winners headed to the press area prepared by the organisation to conduct brief interviews, where they were able to provide further information about their companies and projects and share their first impressions as award recipients. These interviews are available on the El Suplemento website (www.elsuplemento.es), the awards website (www.theeuropeanawards.eu) and on their YouTube channel.

Closing and gala dinner

After the awards ceremony, the gala concluded with remarks from Pablo Suñer, manager of the Professional and Business Excellence Institute, the company organising the event. Suñer —who delivered his speech in Italian, as a nod to the city hosting the Awards in this edition— emphasised the importance of having a solid support network to guide professionals on their path to success: “these awards are also dedicated to all the family members, friends, colleagues and teams who have understood the sacrifices, supported courageous decisions and provided a safe haven in times of uncertainty”, Suñer shared.

Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a gala dinner in true Italian style, which put the finishing touch on a night full of recognition, emotions, live music and high-level networking.

Music and style in an event of shared success

The event featured live performances by Galician artist Lou 7 Go and Italian singer Nunzia Giannotta, who offered musical moments that enlivened the evening and surprised guests with their talent. The welcome cocktail was accompanied by Lou 7 Go, whose performance blended the artist’s sensitivity with his characteristic and intimate interpretation of popular songs such as ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra, with which he captivated the audience. His presence added an alternative and vibrant touch to the gala.

For the opening of the award ceremony, Italian singer Nunzia Giannotta delivered a performance full of emotion, with a warm and powerful voice that generated admiration among the attendees. Her interpretation connected with the Italian essence of the evening, blending tradition and modernity in a particularly memorable moment. At the end of the evening, both artists alternated to create a lively finale in which they performed a medley of well-known songs.

A final balance: between excellence and emotion

Each company, each entrepreneur, and each awarded professional is a reflection of a collective effort committed to quality, innovation and sustainability in Europe, working towards a future without limits or borders.

At the end of this 5th Edition of The European Awards, the organisation highlighted the success of the event, emphasising that it was not only a night of recognition for the awardees, but also a reaffirmation of the strong commitment of the honoured companies and professionals to Europe’s future. The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also stressed the need for collective effort to continue driving innovation and progress across Europe.

With this edition, The European Awards consolidate their reputation as an essential event for celebrating professional excellence in Europe, expanding their reach by being held for the first time in this European capital, which provided a historic and elegant setting for the celebration. The organisation is already working on next year’s edition.
