In recent years he has worked in the field of oral oncology, dentofacial deformities, oral implantology and facial cosmetic surgery

Dr. Pablo Rosado Rodríguez has a degree in Medicine and Dentistry, specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Doctor from the University of Oviedo with the qualification of outstanding cum laude.  He is professor accredited by ANECA and Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In his extensive curriculum, Dr. Pablo Rosado Rodríguez has stays in international centres such as Sint Jan Hospital (Bruges-Belgium) and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taipei-Taiwan).

Lately, he has worked in the field of oral oncology, dentofacial deformities and oral implantology, currently being a professor at the Faculty of Nursing De Gijón and director of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit of the Hospital Begoña in Gijón, Spain, while directing his private clinic. “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has undergone great advances, thanks to synergies with other medical disciplines as well as in the field of engineering and the development of new biomaterials,” says Dr. Rosado. The pathologies that are most serious are head and neck tumours, although, as Dr. Rosado explains, "today we are increasingly aware of their early diagnosis and prevention". Facial injuries are also urgent situations.

The 3D diagnoses are part of the daily work of Dr. Rosado's team at his centre. In the Radiodiagnosis service, they have the latest technology. Orthopantomography and computed tomography allow optimal evaluation and preparation, both in Implantology and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition, anaesthesiologists perform conscious sedation or general anaesthesia in the operating room, depending on the degree of complexity or the patient's preferences.

All facilities have been renovated and adapted to current regulations, offering maximum security in a cosy environment. In the Ambulatory Operating Room, oral and maxillofacial surgery interventions are performed under local anaesthesia. These include the removal of wisdom teeth, removal of facial skin lesions or the placement of osseo-integrated implants.

On the other hand, all surgical procedures are carried out at the Hospital Begoña. In this hospital context they have approved operating rooms, resuscitation room and hospitalization, to carry out procedures of varying degrees of complexity.

Dr. Pablo Rosado won the “End of residence” award in his specialty, with more than 40 publications in national and international journals. In addition, he is a Member of the Spanish Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (SECOM), of the Spanish Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Northwest (SECOMNOR), of the Spanish Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
