Founded in 2019 by Carmen Kiavila, Kiavila Avocats has established itself as a leading boutique law firm specialising in tax law and technology law, with a truly cross-border approach spanning Switzerland, France, and emerging markets such as West Africa. Carmen Kiavila studied law at Toulouse Capitole and in Paris, where she obtained the CAPA and trainings in law, and economics. Simultaneously, she earned a Master of Science in Financial Economics from the prestigious HEC Paris, as well as a Diplôme de Juriste Conseil en Entreprise (DJCE).
Before founding her firm, she worked as an auditor at a Big Four firm in Geneva and as a consultant in financial services, which gave her an interdisciplinary perspective. This experience allows her to apply audit and consulting tools in due diligence processes and customized legal strategies.
Based in Bern and licensed with the Barreau de Paris and Bern, Carmen Kiavila offers legal services to individuals and businesses in litigation, taxation, regulatory compliance, and technology.
Her areas of expertise include tax law, advice on international taxation, personal and corporate tax in Franco-Swiss contexts; technology law, including data protection, software contracts, and taxation related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
